Lighting Design

• The show was done with aisle seating on the dancefloor of a venue where performances were typically on the stage, the audience was seated around small tables.
• Thus, the design was created with 10 borrowed lights hung on a railing, 8 permanently mounted lights refocused, and four lights from the rep plot that were originally audience blinders
• During the balcony scene, the lighting ultimately became candles on the tables and some permanently installed dim ambient blue LEDs we hadn't planned on using
• These photos were taken early in the process, at the start of tech. We ended up going with a much more stylized look with lots of hard shadows.
